Diverticulitis Recipes: Black Bean Dip

Below is a great diverticulitis diet recipe for a delicious snack. The recipe is from the book “The Diverticulitis Cookbook: Feel Better, by Eating Better”.

The black bean dip really compliments baked pita chips, spicy tortilla chips or raw vegetables.

Ingredients

2 Tbs canned chopped green chilies 1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 small onion chopped 1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 cloves garlic; crushed 1/4 tsp salt
1 15 ounce can black beans; rinsed and drained


How to Prepare:

  1. In blender or food processor, combine ingredients and blend until smooth.
  2. Serve with baked pita chips, tortilla chips, or fresh assorted vegetables.
